There are six elements:
- Washing one’s face including washing out the mouth and snuffing water into the nose and blowing it out;
- Abu Huraira r.a. Related that the Prophet s.a.w said, “When one of you makes wudhu, he should put water into his nose and then blow it out.” – Agreed upon Hadith
- Washing one’s hands, elbows, and whatever is in between;
- Wiping one’s entire head, including one’s ears;
- Washing one’s feet, including one’s ankles;
- Performing these elements in order;
- Prophet s.a.w stated, “Perform Wudhu in the order Allah ordered you (to perform it)”.
- Performing them at one time, without too long of a pause between one body part and another. Meaning one shouldn’t delay so much that the previous body part that was washed has dried.
